The Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum on the Big Cypress Seminole Reservation in Florida is set to host the highly anticipated American Indigenous Arts Celebration (AIAC) on November 1-2. As a part of the Native American Heritage Month festivities, this annual cultural extravaganza will offer an immersive experience featuring Seminole and other Indigenous art, food, music, and performances.
This year’s American Indigenous Arts Celebration comes with a special treat for attendees, as the Seminole Tribe of Florida will grant complimentary admission to both the museum and the festival grounds for the first time, with free parking available as well.
A celebration of art and culture
This year’s festival will showcase an impressive variety of attractions, from arts and crafts to thrilling live performances. Performances by Native American and world dance champions will add to the vibrant atmosphere, with featured acts including Native American actor Dallas Goldtooth, the Amayel Mexican Cultural Academy’s Aztec Dancers, and the White Mountain Apache Crown Dancers. Music lovers will be entertained by Rez Jams, which will include performances by Seminole musicians Gabriella Diaz and Cypress Billie, showcasing contemporary and traditional sounds.
Other activities at the American Indigenous Arts Celebration include a Miss Florida Seminole Princess Meet and Greet, a performance rooted in Seminole history, and Osceola’s Legacy, allowing visitors to connect with Seminole representatives and learn more about their culture.
