Layering Neutrals with Pop Accents

Fall is definitely my favorite season. As leaves turn brown and the air becomes crisp, we get to embrace the magic of fall fashion. I love to transition into this cozy season through layering, and the best way to do that is to pair neutral pieces with a vibrant one. You get to keep warm and explore your creativity while showing the world your personal expression.

Basic pieces are the foundation of a versitile wardrobe. For fall, think of beige, white, tan, gray, brown… Feel free to bring basic pieces from summer as we transition into fall. Pair a flowy skirt with tights or boots, a button down shirt and sweater for the perfect fall fit. If that skirt has a fun print, this will be your pop accent and you get to have a neutral outfit that’s not so basic. The Espresso Mail Bag is the best accessory for something like this – it will be with you throughout the day and you can even carry a scarf in it just in case it gets chillier in the evening.

Another way of doing that is by mixing your shirt+jeans+jacket combo with a fun bag, like our Leopard Crossbody bag. For this outfit, get your favorite shirts, sweater, and jacket in neutral, earthy colors, like beige and tan, and your favorite jeans for a casual fall outfit that can keep up with you as you run errands around the city.

Our last tip: keeping everything neutra, except your pants. This is a trend I’m so looking forward to try as I’m seeing these cheetah pants everywhere. You can still do your basic layering on top, but this fun piece will be the pop of fun your outfit needs. Pair it with our Travel Bag and you can even carry an extra scarf with you for chillier evenings.

As we embrace the beauty of fall, layering neutrals with pops of color offers an exciting way to express your personal style while staying cozy. Play with textures, experiment with bold accessories, and let your wardrobe reflect the vibrant spirit of the season.
