About two or so weeks ago an oversized 18 wheeler came barreling down our small residential street and took out a large, healthy, mature oak tree in our yard. Completely decimated it and split in half. Luckily no one was hurt. My husband and I and 3 or 4 of my immediate neighbors were outside at the time to witness it and the truck pulled over and I was able to file a police report. The company’s insurance has sent me a letter, but I wanted to consult a lawyer before responding.
Does anyone have a recommendation of a lawyer here in Austin that would handle this kind of case? The 18 wheeler was a owned by a very well known beer distributor in Texas and the driver was driving recklessly down our street.
