Blake Lively, who last week led the fashion pack at the CFDA Awards in an all-white ensemble, returned to the red carpet at the 13th Annual LACMA Art + Film Gala, this time wearing a strikingly vibrant ensemble.
This proves how easily she can pull off any look!

Dripping in Diamond Chainmail Dress and Dramatic Orange Cape Coat
I’ve always admired Blake’s sense of style, which is partly due to her role as Serena van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl, so seeing her pull off every dress she wears on the red carpet isn’t surprising.
Although some may find her 2024 LACMA gala dress overly lavish, I love how it combines her signature dramatic red-carpet style with the nostalgic appeal of her iconic character’s effortlessly stylish looks.
Lively’s vibrant, fall-appropriate attire drew my attention the moment I saw her on the red carpet. It’s truly a fantastic color that complements her skin tone!
Though Gucci hosted the event, which took place at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Blake opted to go with Tamara Ralph, the former creative director and co-founder of Ralph & Russo until its collapse in early 2021. Ralph & Russo was the label behind the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle’s engagement dress.

Lively looked amazing in her ensemble that featured a handcrafted diamond chainmail mini dress encrusted with dazzling rose gold, pink, and topaz crystals from the Australian designer’s Fall 2023 Couture collection.
Lively’s bare flesh is visible underneath the small openings created by the reflective diamond-shaped pieces connected by sparkling diamonds. It’s too risque for my taste, but I love the fresh take on the sheer trend. I think it’s a perfect dress for an after-party or a night out with friends!
However, the addition of the topaz silk taffeta cape gave the look a regal touch, befitting the gala. With its floor-sweeping train and puffy sleeves draped over her arms, the voluminous coat seemed to have weighed down the tiny dress. However, I also believe it made the appearance more sophisticated and appropriate for the gala and gave the look much-needed coverage.

Dainty Minimalist Jewelry and Glam to Match
Since the already ostentatious outfit doesn’t need any more ornate jewelry, I admire Lively for choosing minimalist accessories from American Jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz.
She wore diamond-encrusted rose gold hoop earrings, a few tiny stud earrings, and several rings. I’m glad she chose to forego the necklace, allowing the ensemble to take center stage.
Glam-wise, Lively decided to keep things just as simple. She wore pinkish gold eyeshadow and matching pink lipstick and fashioned her blonde tresses in her signature tousled loose waves with a side part.

Girly Pink Christian Louboutin Emilie Sandals
A maximalist dresser, Blake didn’t settle for basic shoes. She chose pink instead of gold sandals, which most people would likely wear with the orange ensemble, which looked exceptionally well with her outfit.
Rhinestone crystals adorn the suede slingback straps and crisscross front straps, adding even more glitter to the ensemble.
They are completed with open almond toes that allow Blake to show off her pink pedicure and tall stiletto heels, which elongated her 5’8″ frame.
These pink Louboutin heels are on sale for $673 (from $1,495) at The Outnet. You can also buy the black version at Mytheresa for $1,495.

Blake isn’t the only one proving that pink Louboutins can elevate any outfit. Emmy Rossum showcased a chic way to style pink Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle Follies’ pumps by pairing them with a giraffe-print dress from the Lilly Pulitzer for Target collection.
Sophia Bush demonstrated a sophisticated way to style pink Christian Louboutin ‘Bille et Boule’ pumps by pairing them with a metallic space-dyed full-skirt dress from the Lela Rose Spring 2015 collection.
