British leather bag brand Cambridge Satchel is opening a new 881 sq ft store at 3-5 County Arcade in the Victoria Quarter in Leeds in early December, just in time to capitalise on the run-up to Christmas.
Making a regional debut and accounting for the brand’s third boutique, it will be stocking the women’s and men’s collections, including classic satchels, crossbody bags, handbags, totes, backpacks, briefcases and trunks.
The brand, which has accrued a steadfast following for its philosophy of ‘British style reimagined’, will also offer personalisation services in-store for customers.
The store will complement the Victoria Quarter’s existing portfolio of British brands, including Vivienne Westwood, Barbour, Harvey Nichols and Penhaligon’s.
Rachel Bradburn, Leasing Director at Victoria Leeds, which is owned and operated by Redical, commented: “Cambridge Satchel is well known for its quality, craftsmanship and clear identity but it is also a brand with real zest, a sense of fun and self-expression; a brand which is simultaneously evolving whilst embracing tradition, all qualities which reflect Victoria Quarter and Cambridge Satchel’s new home!
“We’re counting down the weeks until December when the store opens and our loyal visitors can enjoy this iconic brand.”
The signing follows the news that British family-owned jeweller Boodles has reaffirmed its commitment to Victoria Leeds by more than doubling its trading space – from 1,200 sq ft to 2,700 sq ft.
