Katy Perry’s Side-Baring Gown Features String Detail That Makes It Racier

Katy Perry appeared holiday-spirited in a side-baring gown, nearly looking like a disco ball for the Jingle Bell Ball 2024. However, it was the string detail paired with the massive side cutouts that made the look even racier. Perry battled London’s chill weather in her sleeveless, sequined attire and glimmered all over the red carpet in photos from the event. Besides serving glam on the red carpet, she also delivered rocking performances from her new album, “143,” and other timeless hits. On stage, the mom of one wore another sultry Santa-style ensemble with robotlike elements.

Katy Perry co-signs a red carpet trend in this sparkly dress at Jingle Bell Ball 2024

Red carpet photos from the 2024 Jingle Bell Ball show Katy Perry co-singing the side-baring sparkly gown trend, which seems like a hit this season. Previously, in September, Jennifer Lopez sported a similar Tamara Ralph dress at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Her mirror ball outfit comprised daring side cutouts with black bows holding all of it together. Then, in November, Kelsea Ballerini wore a side-baring gown to the 2024 CMS Awards, where she glamorously posed alongside her beau Chase Stokes on the red carpet. The country singer’s Dolce & Gabbana dress was one among many show-stopping moments at the ceremony.

Katy Perry is the latest A-lister to jump on the trend in her silver, sequined gown consisting of huge side cutouts. Her dress also had a unique string detailing that transformed into fringes and an epic thigh slit that made her appear much more alluring than usual. She paired the look with her gorgeous pitch-black hair and dramatic eye makeup. Moreover, the singer sported matching silver nails, statement earrings, and clear pointed-toe heels.

Later, Perry recapped the 2024 Jingle Bell Ball and flaunted her red carpet gown in a series of Instagram photos. In the stills, the “American Idol” judge exhibited sensual and playful poses, propping with a pink rose and a packet of what appeared to be candy. She flaunted more than enough skin in the side-baring ensemble and captioned the post with “in my English rose era.” Finally, Perry credited makeup artist Alexandra French, hair stylist Andrew Ly, nail artist Michelle Humphrey, and photographer Cynthia Parkhurst.
