Bold veined marble-look and linear deco tiles will be hot in 2025

Decorative lineal and bold veined coloured marble tiles are set to join the trend of earthy stones, with timeless nature-inspired designs entering the interior design space in 2025.

Beaumont Tiles say elegant and personality-driven designs with tiles such as the Home kitkat honey emboss gloss tile will prove popular as homeowners embrace Mocha Mousse, the Pantone colour of the year.

Recognised as being at the forefront of identifying global trends for Australian homes, Beaumonts said while the earthy tones of travertine, terracotta and terrazzo will remain dominant, marble emulations with rare colour tones, including greens, blue and burgundy will be on the “what’s hot” list for Australian renovators from 2025.

Product design specialist Darren Brittain said that while luxurious, ornate, and regal marble has become a big trend and was the second most popular theme behind stone-look tiles in 2024, the new colour tones and bold veining revealed at the world’s largest tile fair, Cersaie, will see demand boom once more.

“Marble tiles have brought luxury, sophistication and opulence into the home for some time now, but this will be further enhanced with the introduction of new coloured marble tiles with bursting vibrant hues and intricate veining making spaces feel special,” Darren said.

“With different hues spanning organic green hues through to purples and gold, coloured marble tiles will add depth and personality to the home while maintaining a natural look. They are a perfect pairing with any contemporary style home.

“The durability of marble tiles makes them perfect for use around the home, replicating nature’s beauty with these interwoven fossilised details at a fraction of the cost of the real thing.”

Darren said another trend would be the use of linear deco tiles, which have a more elongated and textured option to the classic and staple large format tile, which adds interesting dimension and texture. “They’re visually more textured to look at, allowing for a more dimensional space and centrepiece for those wanting to make a splash, with natural soft hues that add personality and tranquillity into a home giving an elevated aesthetic.”
