What do you get when you have two tall, attractive, mega-famous people with a lot of money, a noted interest in fashion, and a globetrotting romance? When those two people are Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, the answer is not only a lot of headlines but one hell of a lookbook.
The pop superstar, who among other 2024 achievements wrapped up her Eras Tour this December and was the most-streamed artist on Spotify and Apple Music, and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and podcast host, still on his quest for a threepeat Super Bowl victory, have marked their first full calendar year as a couple, and what a long way they’ve come since Swift first popped up in that VIP suite at Arrowhead lo that fateful September day back in 2023.
Kelce is known for his pre-game outfits and delights in planning his looks for the walk into the stadium, but also dons quirky matching sets and bucket hats while out and about and off-duty. He even has his own fashion line, Tru Kolors, and has admitted to being an “impulse shopper” who owns more than 300 pairs of shoes.
Swift, meanwhile, tends to use her wardrobe to send messages and reinforce themes. Onstage, the variations on her ensembles throughout her three-hour-plus Eras Tour set were tweaked and shuffled so constantly that fans devised a guessing game called Mastermind to predict what the singer would step out in each night on tour. Her day-to-day style is no more predictable: She’s just as likely to don vintage Chiefs gear for game day as she is to reach for double-denim or a designer look to rival her VMAs outfit. And, of course, every street style pic snapped sends Swifties into a yarn-wall tizzy as they try to suss out whether it’s a cool outfit, a clue, or both.
