About voting in 2024

Hey all,

Not usually one to post about politics on Reddit, but stick with me and I’ll wrap this up quickly.

After working across different industries and living in a few states since moving from the East Coast in the early 2010s to Texas in 2015, I used to feel like politics didn’t really matter—just the same circus every couple of years. So I tuned out, and so did a lot of people I know.

But these last few elections? It’s felt different. People I know aren’t indifferent like me anymore—they’re motivated.

Whatever you care about—taxes, immigration, anything—it’s on the ballot. So, just vote for what matters to you and your loved ones. If you’re like me, remember this only takes 5-10 minutes max to cast your vote. Just cast mine two days ago. Here are a few spots to consider:

  • Austin Permitting and Development Center, No. 1407, 6310 Wilhelmina Delco Drive, Austin

  • Ben Hur Shrine Center, Ballroom, 7811 Rockwood Lane, Austin

  • Carver Branch Library, Meeting Rooms B/C, 1161 Angelina St., Austin

  • Lakeway Activity Center, Room F, 105 Cross Creek, Lakeway

  • Pflugerville Independent School District Rock Gym, Gymnasium, 702 W Pecan St., Pflugerville

  • Southpark Meadows, Suite C1000, 9300 S. Interstate 35, Austin

Take care!
