Me and coworkers just got creepy political texts that include our home addresses and claim “a voter at this address still hasn’t voted”.

For context, I literally just got back from voting and got the text which makes it feel creepier. Anyone else get it? When googling, I saw an article about the same texts going out from North Carolina and it states “This text message is legal. It uses public information from voting records to get your address.”

My god, are voting records public too now? Privacy, what’s that?

Anyway, I ain’t clicking that link in the text and this, along with the multiple other political texts I get every day, very much dissuade me from ever participating again.

Edit: Thanks y’all. A little less creepy if by “voting records” they just mean whether I voted or not. Still creepy, but…
