I have a highly sentimental, hand-made quilt I would like to get professionally repaired and restored. It is pretty damaged–quilt top separated from the backing, fraying delicate fabric, mildew & staining from improper storage, etc.–and I’m hoping for someone capable of a full service restoration, even if it results in a kind of “ship of Theseus” reconstruction. I have googled around and mostly am finding long-arm quilt finishers, etc. Has anyone had this sort of service done in the area? Would love a recommendation rather than trusting someone at random. Money is not as much of an object as having the skill level to salvage what can be salvaged, and I am willing to drive to the surrounding area if that’s what is needed.
