On December 4, Meghan Markle showed support for Tyler Perry at The Paley Center for Media gala in a gorgeous black gown. The actor-director has been a longtime friend of the Duchess of Sussex and her husband, Prince Harry. So, it only made sense for Markle to show up at the event honoring her close confidante’s lifetime achievement.
Meghan Markle pairs her strapless black gown with a dazzling neckpiece for The Paley gala
The Duchess of Sussex donned a classic black gown to walk the red carpet for The Paley Center for Media gala. The strapless piece featured a dramatic thigh-high slit and a long train to add to the glamor of the Old Hollywood look. According to Marie Claire, the gown is a part of one of Oscar de la Renta’s collections. With a stunning sweetheart neckline and luxurious fabric, the black number is a perfect fit for the holiday season.
However, Markle upped the ante by adding a simple yet ultra-chic necklace to her all-black look. The diamond neckpiece perfectly complemented her black Oscar de la Renta gown. The star went with custom Lorraine Schwartz and Engender for some bling. For her choice of footwear, she opted for a pair of black strappy heels from Celine. The look was styled by Jamie Mizrahi, who is well-known for her work with Jennifer Lawrence and Adele.
The Duchess of Sussex kept her beauty choices quite minimal, throwing her hair in a pretty updo. She parted the front section of her hair down the middle, leaving out some face-framing fringes styled into soft waves. Moreover, she went with a no-makeup makeup look to allow her natural skin to shine through.
Meghan Markle posed alongside Tyler Perry on the red carpet, with the gala aimed to honor the latter’s contribution to film and TV over the years. The event took place at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills on Wednesday.
