It’s also why Jagger has taken to buying back some of the vintage pieces that her mother sold, including a pale-blue corseted Thierry Mugler dress featuring a rainbow-hued skirt, which she wore to the launch of her vegan hair brand, Bleach, in LA in 2021. For Vogue World: London, meanwhile, the model found the same Bruce Oldfield gown that her mother had been pictured in during the ’90s. “This is my way of saying if you have any of my mum’s vintage clothes, I will buy them off you,” Jagger laughs.

One of her mum’s treasured items nearly did get away, though – specifically, a striped blazer by Vivienne Westwood that Jagger had taken with her while staying at a New York hotel. “I was out for the day and when I came back, it was gone. And in the closet hanging in its place was a big blue fake-fur teddy jacket,” she recalls. “Two months later, [the hotel] calls me at like 10 at night, and they’re like, ‘We have your jacket.’ It was crumpled up and stank of cigarettes – I think somebody had had a really good time in it!”
