Vogue Czechoslovakia perhaps doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. Since coming onto the market in September 2018, the magazine has remained one of the best and most creative books in the business. Over the past twelve months, covers starring the likes of Alessandra Ambrosio, Monica Bellucci, Ashley Graham, and Gwendoline Christie have commanded our attention (for reasons both good and bad). Vogue Czechoslovakia has our undivided attention once again, as Danica Kovarova welcomes models Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Yilan Hua as cover girls. Photographic duo Kulesza + Pik captured Huntington-Whiteley, who serves face in the profile cover shot, wearing Saint Laurent and Tiffany & Co. Joined by a dove, Yilan Hua posed for Luka Booth and sits pretty in Christian Dior.

“It’s a beautiful photo, but kind of amateurish. As much as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is a beautiful woman, I think her beauty is very plasticized (in both senses),” said DK92.
“I like Rosie, I like closeups but something is just missing here. Not sure what,” Srdjan chimed in.
Kokobombon wasn’t all too impressed either. “It looks like a supplement cover,” they pointed out.
“Rosie’s cover should’ve been a tad less zoomed in,” voiced WAVES. “The Yilan Hua cover without that bird/dove prop would’ve been so much better!”
“These covers are not light at all. Both of them wearing black and looking serious,” Alquimista critiqued.
Yet not everyone felt so underwhelmed. “Rosie Huntington-Whiteley all day, every day. We don’t see her enough on the cover of fashion magazines, IMO. The cover is fantastic, usually hate this type of profile cover shot but it’s all working for me here,” confessed vogue28.
