Looking for group fitness classes like Crossfit, but not Crossfit



Hi there – just moved to Austin and this search is proving harder than I thought. I am looking for a gym with fitness classes that has:

  • A mobile app/website where you can sign up for classes
  • Class-based fitness – I need to be told what to do for ~50 min and schedule the time
  • Uses free weights on 45lb bars for movements like back squat, overhead press, etc (removing F45 and Orange Theory)
  • Has good music
  • Also has a cardio element to the class like rowing or tread or burpees

So basically I am looking for an Orange Theory or Barry’s Bootcamp, but with actual full-sized weights. I haven’t had any trouble finding that in my past few cities, but I have seem to hit a wall. Budget is not an issue, although I am not going to a place like Onnit and spending $1k+ a month.

We live in Zilker. Any ideas? I am actually going to try Sola Crossfit today, but am just not super into all of the Crossfit movements like kipping pull ups and some of the competition movements they do.
