Travis Kelce Raves About Meeting Caitlin Clark At Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour

Is Lucas Oil Stadium an arena or a dairy farm? We ask because there was an absolute herd of GOATs on hand for the second night of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Indianapolis at the venue Saturday night.

Besides Swift herself, boyfriend Travis Kelce, a Kansas City Chiefs franchise fave, was in attendance, as well as Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark, the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year. The two athletes yukked it up in the audience at Swift’s penultimate U.S. tour date, and Kelce dished all about it on the latest episode of New Heights, the podcast he co-hosts with brother Jason Kelce, published on Wednesday.

“Got to meet Caitlin, she’s awesome,” Travis said of the star basketball player. He said it was “cool catching up with her,” then mentioned some things the two have in common beyond being pro athletes.

For one, they’re both loud and proud products of the Midwest. Travis hails from Ohio, Clark from Iowa.

“She loves being out there in Indianapolis, says it’s a fun city and we’re both just true Midwesterners to the heart—played high school ball, college ball, pro ball, all out here in the Midwest,” he said.

Another thing they share is a love of Swift.

“She’s a Swiftie through and through,” Travis said of Clark. “She was into the show for sure. She was there with her mom and a few friends. I think this was like her third or fourth show she had been to.”

And when Jason, 37, asked if Clark’s “dance moves were as good as her jump shot,” Travis affirmed that the WNBA star was having a good time.

He also explained that he “wanted to see Tay one more time before this thing got closed up,” referencing the tour’s looming finale. The Indianapolis dates were Swift’s final U.S. shows, with stopovers in Canada still to come before the Eras Tour wraps for good in December. He said that “the American crowds, they did not disappoint” and that the show was “absolutely rocking.” Kelce and Swift were spotted holding hands near the stadium after the show.

Swift, of course, came to see Kelce’s game with the Chiefs on Monday night. The Kansas City NFL squad remains undefeated in its regular season, and Swift remains committed to her short-shorts and boots game day ‘fits.
