Megan Thee Stallion makes a great case for the little black dress in her latest look. The lead Hot Girl kept it elegant and classic while attending the 18th annual Golden Heart Awards in New York on October 21, 2024. Held in collaboration with designer Michael Kors at the Cathedral Church of St John the Divine by non-profit meal delivery service ‘God’s Love We Deliver,’ Meg showed up wearing a bodycon ribbed black dress. Styled by her go-to celeb stylist Eric Archibald, its rounded thigh slit and halter neck turned a timeless look into a bombshell carpet moment.
Alongside Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker, Meg was an honouree at the fundraiser and arrived to accept the genLOVE Award for Outstanding Philanthropy with the Pete & Thomas Foundation. Megan Thee Stallion launched the foundation in 2022 to support under-served communities in her hometown Houston in honour of her late parents. “From advocating for mental health and creating safe spaces for young women to supporting senior citizens, I’m so proud of the work that our organisation has accomplished so far,” Meg said during her award acceptance speech.
Rocking a tousled ‘90s-esque up-do and her signature bold nails, the Grammy winner kept her ‘fit simple and minimalist so that her bling could shine. Megan has always been a fashion girl, so whenever she’s walking a carpet or attending an event we know we’re in for a treat. The bling in question was a 3D bedazzled Judith Leiber butterfly clutch bag intricately embellished with black and silver crystals. Meg wore a butterfly Judith Lieber arm cuff to match. Her whimsical choice in accessories might just be a nod to a new era for the rapper. She’s been teasing an upcoming project titled ‘MEGAN: ACT II” with bejewelled butterfly imagery on her Instagram. Until its October 25 release, we’ll look forward to seeing which other butterfly-inspired easter eggs Meg shares with fans.
