In a rare move, Beyoncé showed up at the Glamour 2024 Women of the Year Awards, where her mother, Tina Knowles, received a special award. Maggie Baird, the mother of Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell, and Donna Kelce, the mother of Travis and Jason Kelce, were also honored that evening.
All eyes were on the multihyphenate as she was clad in a striking yellow-gold ensemble by Sergio Hudson. But more than her outfit choice, her appearance amidst Diddy’s legal troubles caught many off guard.
Bey and her husband Jay-Z, one of Hollywood’s power couples, have been close friends with the rapper, but they have remained mum about conspiracy theories claiming their connections to the artist. Despite being in hot water, Bey put up a brave front to support her mother.

Glowing in Yellow-Gold Sergio Hudson Ensemble
I’ve always admired Beyoncé’s polished and refined style, consistently showcasing her love for luxury and glamour. As expected, she exceeded my expectations at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards, turning heads with her stunning yellow-gold ensemble.
While visually striking, yellow or gold can be a difficult color to wear. Many people find incorporating yellow into their wardrobes challenging, as its brightness can sometimes clash with certain skin tones. But Beyoncé’s radiant, warm complexion with golden undertones makes her look amazing in yellow.
Bey exuded high-fashion glamour in a two-piece yellow-gold ensemble straight off Sergio Hudson’s Spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection.
She wore a $575 bateau-necked butter-yellow cotton tee that was so snug it emphasized her breasts. She tucked it into a $1,595 dazzling yellow-gold evening silk maxi skirt that was fitted throughout the hips and widened at the hem.
I like how it draws attention to her curves, highlighting the finer points of her hourglass figure.

Beyoncé’s Retro Accessories
Mirroring the runway look, Bey styled the combo with a wide yellow buckled belt from the same collection, adding a ’60s flair to the ensemble while drawing attention to her slim waist.
While unnecessary, the pale yellow mesh gloves added to the look’s elegant theme and retro splendor. Warmly dressed for the event, Beyoncé arrived at the venue wearing a brown faux fur stole by Adrienne Landau, which she removed upon entering.

Unexpectedly, Beyoncé—a maximalist dresser—opted to forego the necklace in favor of a set of dangling diamond earrings. She also had on her massive engagement ring, a 24ct. emerald-cut diamond designed by Lorraine Schwartz.
Bey wore gradient cat-eye specs to protect her eyes from the cameras and carried a black rectangular purse to hold her nighttime essentials.
Golden heels are the ideal way to complete a yellow-gold look, in my opinion, and I’m glad Beyoncé did just that, matching her golden skirt and yellow top with metallic gold peep-toe heels. They have thick platforms and probably around 4-inch heels, boosting Bey’s 5’6” height.

Beyoncé’s Retro Hair and Makeup
Beyoncé’s voluminous, short platinum blonde hair served as another nod to the 1960s. It was styled in a wavy, side-parted bob with bouncy curls framing her face.
Her sultry, smokey gold eyeshadow, fluttery eyelashes, and nude lipstick rounded out her look.
Tina Knowles’ Emotional Speech
Beyoncé seemed moved as her mother, Tina Knowles, among the evening’s honorees, gave her speech.
“I’ve been so blessed in my life to do many things. I’ve had many careers, but I’ve always said that the best job that I’ve ever had is being a mother. I’ve had the privilege of raising and helping to raise four daughters. Two that were born to me and two that were a gift to me from God,” Knowles said.
“I was somewhat of a rebellious teen and a young adult … but the day that I became a mother, I decided that this was one thing that I wouldn’t screw up,” she continued.

Diddy Scandal Puts Beyoncé and Jay-Z in Hot Waters
Following the rapper’s arrest, rumors have surfaced linking Beyoncé and Jay-Z to Diddy’s sexual offenses. They were also said to be part of an underground organization that eliminates competitors; one theory suggested that Diddy and Jay-Z eliminated Beyoncé’s rivals to further her career.
Recently, on Pier Morgan’s Uncensored show, singer Jaguar Wright labeled Diddy and Jay-Z “monsters,” claiming that Jay-Z had more victims than Diddy.
Instead of speaking up, Beyoncé threatened to take legal action against the rumors and have the interview taken down.
“There’s rumors, and then there’s nonsense, and this is one step further,” Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s lawyer Alex Spiro told TMZ. “This is a formal and pointed accusation of something. I felt they needed to be responded to.”
“I think somebody reported it was a cease and desist. It was quite bluntly an ultimatum which is, remove that false accusation that’s demonstrably false or a court’s going to order you to.”

Morgan later apologized to the couple for airing the interview.
“Jaguar, unexpectedly, made several serious allegations about Jay-Z and Beyoncé during that interview. As I said in the moment, they were not present to respond or defend themselves, but now they have,” Morgan said.
“We had lawyers contact us to say that those claims were totally false and have no basis in fact, and we’ve therefore complied with a legal request to cut them from the original interview.”
“Editing interviews is not something we do lightly at a show called Uncensored, but like the proverbial cries of fire in a crowded theater, there are legal limits on us, too. And we apologize to Jay-Z and Beyoncé.”
