Dua Lipa Paired Those Trendy Micro Shorts with an Autumn Staple

Whether it’s no trousers, tiny skirts, or micro shorts, celebrities are leaning into showing off their legs one way or another — including Dua Lipa.

The nearly or completely pantsless trend has swept through Hollywood and the fashion world over the last few years, with Miu Miu bringing back ultra mini skirts and A-listers opting to take part. From Kendall Jenner’s button-up shirt with nothing underneath to Anya Taylor-Joy wearing nothing but a leotard on the red carpet — the girls are all in on skipping the trousers.

And despite the changing fall weather and a chill blowing in the air for much of the world, Dua Lipa decided trousers were also optional. Ahead of her first of two concerts in Tokyo, Japan on Saturday, November 16, Lipa took part in a fan meet-and-greet situation at Tower Records Shibuya. The musician shared a carousel of photos to her Instagram, showing off her cute outfit and interactions with fans.

Lipa looked incredible in ultra-short, high-waisted shorts that cut high at her thigh and included a matching belt. She kept the outfit simple and paired a bright yellow cardigan with distressed detailing. Lipa also wore black tights and knee-high boots and carried an adorable red shoulder bag to bring the whole look together.

Dua Lipa has been known to take a fashion risk, and often wears tiny shorts while she performs on stage. During what appeared to be one of her famous holidays, Lipa wore black silk bloomers, but gave them an edgy twist somehow. During her showstopping headlining set at Glastonbury this year, Lipa did five outfit changes that included micro chainmail shorts by Michael Schmidt, a Versace dress, and a black sequined Loewe bodysuit. Her Radical Optimism tour has been full of black, leathery outfits — including a short Chrome Hearts minidress custom-made for her.
