Gisele Bündchen will soon be a mom again. The former supermodel and her new partner, Joaquim Valente, are expecting their first child together. It will be the third for Bündchen who already has two kids from her first marriage with former NFL QB Tom Brady, and the first for Valente.
Bündchen and Valente, who was the jiu-jitsu instructor for her son Benjamin only confirmed their relationship in February 2024, though the two reportedly started dating in June 2023. The relationship came after Bündchen’s marriage to Tom Brady ended after 13 years. The pair filed for divorce in October of 2022 with reports indicating Brady’s decision to announce his retirement from the NFL only to then change his mind was one of the main reasons for the split.

Joaquim Valente and Bündchen were first linked shortly after her divorce from Brady, though sources indicate the two were friends for a while and Valente was a support for Bündchen after her split. Then, things turn romantic.

According to Us Weekly, marriage is not in the plans for now. A source told the publication, “They’re deeply committed to each other, but there are currently no plans for marriage,” adding that the two “aren’t talking about marriage” right now.
It’s not because they still have to get to know each other—the couple has been living together since last year, and according to the insider, “They’re in love and happy,” it’s just that “Right now, marriage is not on top of their to-do list.”

That part is understandable. A baby always goes to the top of the list, and the couple, who was said to be “happy about the pregnancy,” seems to be focused on that, above all things. News of the pregnancy was reported by PEOPLE in a statement that read, “Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life and they’re looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family.”
As for Brady, who was reportedly informed of the pregnancy before the public found it, the same insider told Us Weekly his relationship with Bündchen remains amicable and the two are focused on their children’s well-being. “He wants to see her happy,” the source says of Brady, adding that he knows Bündchen is “a great mom and was destined to be a mom.”
Valente is said to have a great relationship with Bündchen’s children, who are reportedly “looking forward” to having a new sibling. The two already have another half-sibling, Jack, who was born to Tom Brady and his former girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.
