From afar, it felt like the whole of New York was at Chloë Sevigny’s closet sale – dubbed the sale of the century – last year. Among them? Fellow actor Tommy Dorfman, who managed to snap up the fashion muse’s Chanel tasselled flap bag. “I bought it and then Chloë texted me all these photos of her from red carpets wearing it, which is so funny,” Dorfman told The Closet Digest, British Vogue’s podcast sponsored by Vinted, which delves into the stories behind the most meaningful pieces in our wardrobes.
The bag wasn’t the only item that Dorfman bought at the sale: she also bagged a pink Comme des Garçons coat and a floral lace dress from fashion editor Lynn Jaeger’s wardrobe. “That sale was hype-y and crazy, but at the end of the day, I think it sets a new tone for what we should be doing with our clothes,” the 13 Reasons Why star reflects. “Especially anybody who works in my industry, public facing or otherwise, fashion people, editors.”
