This 3-In-1 Hair Tool Has Transformed My Morning Routine

Despite being a relatively early riser, finding time in the morning to style my hair – on top of doing my make-up and, well, showering – is near impossible. Nonetheless, I still want it to look good, so finding ways to cut corners and make styling easier and speedier is high on my list of beauty priorities – which is why I’ve fallen in love with Hershesons’ new Multi-Tasker, a 3-in-1 tool with different attachments that you can mix and match.

Not only do I love the fact that you get all of these different functions in one tool (which is cheaper, and saves on space), but I also love how efficient it is at creating styles that stay put – because, unfortunately, not all tools do, and depending on your hair type, you might be someone whose style drops 10 seconds after it’s been created.

Luke Hersheson, the celebrity hairstylist who’s worked with everyone from Sienna Miller to Victoria Beckham, explains that this was exactly his incentive for creating it. “Lots of my clients had issues with their hairstyles lasting when they’d used other tools that had different attachments,” he explains. “Most of them work with hot air, so the Multi-Tasker actually uses thermal heat, which really helps the hairstyle hold.”

With a track record of creating multitasking products – see the Hershesons Almost Everything Cream, a hair primer, styling cream, shine booster and frizz fighter in one – this new tool feels like it’s among friends. “You can do everything from a glossy, uptown blowout with lots of volume – it’s great for creating volume – to a beachy wave, Veronica Lake curls or mermaid waves,” explains Hersheson.

I have long hair and have created so many different hairstyles with this tool; a personal favourite is the mermaid waver attachment, which is really easy to use and creates a kind of beachy finish when brushed out with fingers and a little texturiser. Volume, as Hersheson says, is also really easy to achieve, because the round blow-dry brush attachment uses heat to lift roots (always move upwards, away from the scalp, for best results). It’s also great for doing the “front bits” of the hair. For example, if you’ve got a curtain fringe or face-framing strands, place the round brush beneath the root, pull forward, away from the face, then brush apart for a bouncy, soft finish.

“It’s also great to reduce frizz,” adds Hersheson. “The round brush can quickly smooth the hair and works really well when you exert tension. Wrap the hair around the barrel, like you would a normal round brush, and pull nice and slowly, turning the ends so you get a flick outwards or underneath.” The wand attachment is also brilliant to form bends or waves in the hair – and, again, they stay put.

Not only has the Multi-Tasker revolutionised my routine, but my hair has never looked better – or more professional. It’s a must try.
